About Me

Hi... My name is Mandy. 

I am a Photographic Artist, a Mother of 2, a B.A. (Hons) Media Graduate, a natural blonde (yes, we do still exist and we can be smart!)...

 and I am the Jikiden Reiki Practitioner behind this blog!

My journey into Reiki actually started MANY years ago, when my older sister told me about this fantastic new healing "thing" that she was learning. I smiled, nodded (called her a hippy!) and left her to it! About 12 or 13 years later, I was selling Epicure products at a community market and my booth happened to be next to Mari Okazaki - a local Jikiden Reiki Practitioner and Teacher. We talked and I became more "educated". Then it was probably a year later that I first met Jan Morrison, a pupil of Mari's and my eventual teacher.

After hearing Jan's story, my sister and niece's experiences of becoming practitioners, the treatments my own mother was receiving in England, AND finding my business' booth being located right next to Jan's at a trade show, I realized someone was trying to tell me something and that they can't all be crazy! I figured I should give it a go, so I could help my own family.

I took my first course in April 2014 and haven't looked back!
